Valley Reserve, Mount Waverley, 3149
Melbourne is sometimes called "The Garden City," and within The City of Monash there are a few notable parkland's, Valley Reserve and Jells Park:
Valley Reserve is a special piece of Melbourne parkland that is significant because it is one of the few pieces of public park in the City of Monash that has never been cleared for farming or other uses. The park is home to some significant native flora and fauna, including native wildflowers, eucalypts, birds and marsupials. There are great walking tracks and a fantastically appointed playground with great amenities including an incredibly well-appointed children’s playground, carparks, and toilets. Valley Reserve in Mount Waverley is a great place for picnics, BBQ's, walks and bike riding and visitor information plaques are scattered around the park pointing out things of historical and botanical interest.
As well as being appointed with some significant parks the City of Monash is home to some of Melbourne's and indeed Australia's finest golf courses
